Job Description: Pharmacist

Location: Milwaukee, WI
Pay Rate: $61–$65 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with an occasional weekend shift approximately once per month, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed, patient-focused Pharmacist to provide safe and effective medication management, patient counseling, and pharmacy services. The ideal candidate will ensure regulatory compliance, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept, review, verify, and dispense prescription medications in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Ensure prescribed medications are appropriate and monitor patient medication adherence and potential overuse.
• Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Provide patient services such as smoking cessation counseling, blood pressure screenings, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions in accordance with established procedures, as applicable.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other pharmacy support staff.
• Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory.
• Identify medication-related concerns and collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to resolve them.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Active pharmacist license issued by the Wisconsin State Pharmacy Examining Board.
• Strong knowledge of medications, drug interactions, and pharmacy regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient counseling skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Pay Rate Range: $51.25 - $60.57
Pay Rate is dependent on seniority and other factors that will be discussed during the hiring process
